At Maran Timber, we are committed to creating a positive social impact across our workforce, supply chain, and surrounding communities.
We prioritise a safe and supportive working environment, with continuous improvements in workplace safety, health standards, and employee training to enhance skills, wellbeing, and long-term career development.
We actively promote employee engagement and inclusivity through annual activities such as multi-cultural festive celebrations, health screening programmes, and ongoing safety and health training. Team bonding initiatives—including sports events, games, and friendly matches—help foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
We are committed to inclusive and fair employment practices, providing opportunities regardless of background. We also established an employment programme supporting Sudanese refugees, enabling more than 20 individuals to gain economic independence while awaiting resettlement. Several have since successfully relocated to countries such as the United States and Canada.
We also engage with local communities. In Kampung Sendayu, Temerloh, we supported the Orang Asli community by installing water tanks and piping systems to provide access to clean water, improving daily living conditions and supporting long-term wellbeing.
We have also initiated programs to benefit the local communities such as assisting flood victims, funding schools and hiring employees with special needs.
